Research Interests
|
Dr. Marilyn A. Brown created and leads the Climate and Energy Policy Lab at Georgia Tech. Her research focuses on the design and modeling of energy markets and carbon reduction policies and programs, highlighting opportunities on the customer side of the electric meter-including energy end-use efficiency, rooftop-solar systems, vehicle to grid interactions, smart thermostats, and home storage devices. Using data analytics and energy-engineering models, she examines technology and market transitions at the local, state, and national scale. Her research has helped to explain the existence of an energy-efficiency gap, the persistence of high energy-burdens among low-income households, and the employment and cost benefits of investments in demand-side management. |
