Yonggang Huang is interested in mechanics of materials and structures. He has established the scientific foundations for stretchable electronics and for mechanics-guided deterministic 3D assembly, and has made important contributions to their applications to bio-integrated and bio-inspired electronics, and 3D fabrication. He is also one of the key contributors to the microscale plasticity theory.
