About the PNAS Member Editor
Name Abrahams, Elihu
Location University of California, Los Angeles
Primary Field Physics
Secondary Field Applied Physical Sciences
 Election Citation
Abrahams has investigated electron-electron scattering in metals, showing that this scattering vanished near the Fermi surface. He has done seminal work on impurity conduction. His recent work, with colleagues, has largely solved the localization problem in solids.
 Research Interests
My research areas include theoretical condensed matter physics, magnetism and superconductivity, disordered systems, many-body problems, and quantum statistical mechanics.
