Cooper is a pioneer in the study of B lymphocyte development and differentiation. He produced the first solid evidence for immunoglobulin class switching, discovered the pre-B cell, and made critical contributions to our understanding of the cell type transformed in many human B cell malignancies.
 Research Interests
My research interests are immunology, lymphocyte differentiation, and immunodeficiencies.
