Dreze developed theoretically and empirically the theory of markets with price rigidities, with particular application to unemployment. He originated the study of cooperative games with both large and small players. He made important contributions to the economics of uncertainty and the study of labor-managed firms.
 Research Interests
The allocation of risks, money, and macroeconomics in general equilibrium theory is my major interest as are labor markets.
